Student Ministry

Raising disciple-makers, one campus at a time

Knowing Christ. Making Him known. Multiplying disciple-makers across Rwanda’s universities and schools.

And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.

Who we are

A ministry built on multiplication

The Navigators Student Ministry of Rwanda exists to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ among students through intentional disciple-making and spiritual multiplication.

We believe the university years are strategic—this is where convictions are formed, leadership is developed, and future influence is shaped. Reaching students is an investment in the future of Rwanda.

We are committed to helping students:

  • 1Know Christ personally and deeply
  • 2Grow in Christlike character
  • 3Develop a strong foundation in God's Word
  • 4Make Him known on their campuses and families
  • 5Multiply their lives through discipling others
Where we serve

Present on four campuses

Approximately 65 students are being intentionally discipled through structured and relational environments. We prioritize depth, character formation, and multiplication over large gatherings.

Our approach

Rooted in the core values of The Navigators

The Word of God

Scripture is central to everything we do. Students are trained to study, apply, and live out God's Word faithfully.

Life-on-Life Discipleship

Personal, one-on-one mentoring relationships form the backbone of our ministry. Through regular meetings, students grow in spiritual maturity, accountability, and leadership capacity.

Spiritual Multiplication

We equip students not only to follow Christ but to make disciples who will make disciples, creating lasting generational impact.

What we do

Programs that form leaders

Discipleship Training Program (DTP)

Flagship

A structured training pathway designed to equip students in biblical foundations, spiritual disciplines, evangelism and apologetics, leadership development, and principles of disciple-making. DTP prepares students to become confident and competent spiritual leaders on campus and beyond, and is a better time to learn deeper on the most intriguing aspects regarding the Bible and real life.

One-on-One Discipleship

Intentional mentoring relationships focused on personal growth, obedience to Christ, and leadership formation with the students we disciple.

Small Group Bible Studies

Interactive and discussion-based studies that challenge students to apply Scripture in daily life and dive deeper in reading the Word on their own.

Annual Student Camps (Since 2018)

Each year, students gather for intensive teaching, fellowship, leadership development, and vision casting. These camps strengthen spiritual commitment and reinforce our mission of multiplication.

Evangelism & Campus Outreach

Students are equipped and encouraged to share the Gospel and initiate meaningful spiritual conversations with their peers.

Our impact

Multiplying influence across campuses

The current 65 students represent multiplying influence across four campuses and one high school context. Through intentional discipleship, students are:

  • Growing in biblical conviction
  • Developing Christlike character
  • Gaining leadership competence
  • Discipling others on their campuses

Our vision

We envision thriving communities of disciple-makers on every major campus in Rwanda—students who will influence churches, workplaces, communities, and the nation for Christ. Our commitment is not merely to gather students, but to raise leaders who will continue the mission of knowing Christ and making Him known for generations to come.

Knowing Christ. Making Him Known. Multiplying Disciple-Makers on Campus.
